Quantum mechanics, multiverse, atoms, . . . I don't know how
it all came about but my post-modern investigation has veered from
the sphere of art into modern science, mathematics, physics. I have
been spun into a new path of investigation as I try to straddle new
systems of philosophy and science. I have logged into the realm of
post-modern science . . . . a whole lot more. I have found that science has
an important links to surrealism and particularly Salvador Dali.
Dali's work reflects his influence interest in works such as "Galatea Of The
Spheres" and "The Three Sphinxes" (1947), "Leda Atomica" and "Dematerialisation
Near The Nose at Nero"(1947) Dali has reconciled and interwoven modern physics
with mysticism. Dali has drawn inspiration from nuclear physics and atomic
particles, exploring the harmony in the universe.
I have been researching particularly chaos and butterfly theories.
My research is inherently connected to the intellectual sphere,
it is perhaps science that resides at the core of human creativity. Questioning
the mystery of nature and its relationship to artistic theory. I am interested
in finding order through different forms of chaos in nature.
Ideas of chaos can be applied to my work as I search for pattern, complexity
and randomness in creative compositions. Modern science has
enhanced my understanding of how science constitutes the philosophical
climates that literature/art is created in.
This idea is paralleled in science as scientists search to establish
intricate hypotheses and rationalize the irrational.
We are looking for complex answers for simple questions in the black
and abyss and harrowing hollow of post modern mystery.
Post-modernism allows me to draw inspiration and formulae from
scientific phenomena and entwine theories with art. Post-modernism allows
me to develop ideas form science and through smearing these with with
creative consideration, I can magnify, extend and parallel principles.
Art and science correspond, becoming compatible with art and
a tool for understanding the human imagination.
This research has allowed me to penetrate local universe of creative
thought and connect to larger systems of theorizing. All of my research
is related to experience and radical ideas. We can only talk abstractly
about post-modernism as it has no parameters, no boundaries that can be
explored or violated. We attempt to measure the immeasurable.
Even atoms misbehave and are indecisive, science and post-modern question
but provides no solutions. All of this research is related to my investigation
experience, radicalism and artistic energies. Science parallels literature
and ideas and questions are recycled, we are trying to violate reality before
we understand its complexity. Scientific trends and pattern in thought
are repeated , reconfigured and paralleled in literature. Science
is riddled with contradiction, generalization and these contradictions
are reflected in literature through movements that are themselves
contradictory.
My work is about evading definitions and reacting against reactions. I am
more interested in what is outside the parameters rather than understanding
what is inside them. In my work, it is as though I am married to sensibility,
I am having an affair with absurdity and being tempted by radicalism. My English
work has allowed me to elope with irrationality.
